  1. What Went Right:

    1. We have an awesome game that's quite expansive for 20 weeks of work and I'm excited to share it.

    2. With so many people we were able to redistribute and have Chris join Wells on level design (they both did a phenomenal job), Adli came in on programming with me, and Ben became our producer. I think this distribution was good.

    3. My biggest contribution to the game was the ghost racing system, and it really is quite fun. The fact that I can type in a few characters and race Sky, or Chris, or Wells is awesome. And the team likes it too.

  2. What Went Wrong:

    1. We didn't have enough structure, so more things started to slip as time went by. In the first term Tony provided a ton of structure (which had its own difficulties, don't get me wrong) but I think the drop off from that to very little structure left some members a little aimless.

    2. We again couldn't figure out good times to meet so the work was pretty fragmented; I could get on the same page as Sky and Wells, or Chris and Adli, but I didn't know where other people were at.

    3. I had more polish I would've loved to add (markers for where you died, leaderboards) but didn't have time to.

  3. Lessons Learned:

    1. Find a way to enhance communication. Discord is great, but not enough. We needed some kind of structure as to who was communicating with who so that all information could be disseminated properly.

    2. Plan more up front. Ensure everyone on the team has weekly goals and hold them accountable.

    3. Agree to certain structure things (like weekly goals, a task board, and/or team leaders) even if not required to ensure work gets done.
